Potters has atleast 5" of ice. Good and safe for me anyways. Other place I haven't checked so much and won't recommend any of them until I know for sure they are safe.

Judging from the sketchy reports I think I'll give another day yet. I agree the snow isn't helping.Maybe i'll stick to potters for now. I did read something on here about 5" at Deseronto? I'm surprised with the amount of current there. I did see one hut at the mouth in Trenton today.

Hello everyone. Good to hear ice is forming. I was wondering if I could join anyone on a day of ice fishing on the Bay of Quinte. I'm off work 'till New Year and never fished Quinte. Will be driving from Bowmanville, ON so could meet anywhere - just say where and when.

Hey. I just bought the gear for ice fishing and want to go. Are available Friday? I'm coming from other side of toronto, happy to pick you up on the way through. I've got:
- popup hut
- small toboggan
- heater and cookstove and propane
- hand auger with drill attachment.
- snowshoes if we need (have an ATV but think it's too early for that).
and then whatever I have in my tackle box.

I'd assume I'd leave bright and early and we'd spend a good part of the day there,

I don't know how to ice fish, don't know how to pickerel fish, don't know where in Quinte to go, but happy to go fishing nonetheless. I'll pm you my contact info, give me a holler. If you're interested, we'll post some queries here to get guidance on where to go/park/fish.
