DL, we have been catching them in about 10 - 12 fow, just putting the jig down about 6 -7 feet then you can watch them dart up out of the weed and smash your jig (flasher ), I have been using a jig and minnow combo, the best bite seems to be 4:30 till about 7pm, last nite was non stop action, with about 35 crappie in total, we try not to keep any under 11 " anymore. The bottom has some sparse weed about a foot or 2, right next to a dense weed edge.... hope this helps.

Great fishing there buddy!!

How do you clean those things? Fillets, or scale 'em and gut 'em?

Tasty creatures!
