I would buy Walker mainly because they are made and can be serviced in Ontario. If you were located elsewhere...."maybe" (doubtful) the choice would change.

Could not agree more. Did a lot of research on the 'Big four' available before deciding on the Walkers. A little more expensive than some of the others...but like most things, you get what you pay for.

Another vote for Walkers here! I've been running the same pair for fifteen years and just replaced the cables for the first time. Mine don't have the gadgets that most newer ones have, but they're bullet-proof. Good Fishing, Sluggo (Chris)

i was at bass pro shop to day looking at them the walker tourament when for 585. free rod with purchase of down rigger. kind like the auto stop feature. big jon captain paks are 479. 4 foot boom. not sure of the price for the four foot boom on the walker. bigjons come with a 4x4 base and swival mounting base. 2, 3, 4 foot section. walker do not come with swivel base. bigjon do not have the auto stop only on there speed rigger. o well some more things to think about. happy fishing, see you on the water, walleyedreamer.
