Was able to get out on Saturday in the morning around 0830, launching at Picton Harbour, headed off to Thompsons to try and jig for a fish, Wind very strong and I wasn't up to using the Drift Sock, so trolled over the west shore, a pass at Shermans in the Deep Hole and headed back into the wind towards Picton Bay.

Finally bounced back into Picton Bay, lots of boats there. Headed to Merland Park, where I was graciously received. I was the first back, everyone else filtered back for 1400 hrs.

Met a lot of people who we all knew their 'Netnames' but didn't have a face to go with the name. Nice to meet everyone there.

Pictures of the gathering are being processed by yours truly and will take a day or two. Dan will get them and he can post em up.

Biggest fish when I left Merland Park was 12 lbs 12 oz (as of 1500 hrs - Sat)

I picked up a friend at Picton and we headed out around 1600, My pal Gord picked a 9.6 lber on a Smithwick Deep Diver, just north of the Gazebo.

We trolled a little further and I picked up a Personal BEST 13.3 lbs on a Deep Diver Smithwick. Heading for the point (everyone who was at the gathering will what point I'm talking about) and I hit a 10.0 lber.

We had one more strike and lost it (don't know how those hooks on the SMmithwick can miss a fish - they get my fingers in the dark).

Back to Launch site at 1900 hrs, starting to snow .

Stopped at Merland's some fish pictures being taken, the leader in the gathering was still 12 - 12.

Great day meeting everyone and capped it off with some realy nice fish.

Tight Lines and a big Hi to all at the gathering.
