Was out to fish at 1500 with PerfectlyPat and began trolling cranks off Thompsons heading north. Marked a lot of fish - made three -four passes changing lures but couldn't get a strike.

Headed to west shore and towards Grandfathers Cove, marked a LOT of fish over there. We trolled over them for an hour and a half, tried at least ten lures (big/small/high/deep) Zilch.

Met a troller in the Reach who said he had hit a nice 5-6 lber, didn't say on what and I didn't ask.

Back to Bayview at 1815.

Water temp was 69 Deg F.

Get em next time.

hi Superdad.
Just wondering. Are you are rigging, or using a planer? I've used cranks like "CC shad" and "ripplin redfin" with success. Just a though, when you mark those suspended fish have you ever stopped on top of them and tried your ice fishing lures and a minnow to jig them up?? If it wouldn't cost a fortune I would be out there with my springbok. I figure this is old news to most but had to ask. One more thing do the pickerel still hang around the "White Chapel creek" spring and fall? "tim"
