For those of you who enjoy trolling for lakers on the back lakes, I was out to one of the many lake trout lakes just north of Kingston yesterday. The thermocline seems to be setup at about 50 to 60 ft. Large numbers of fish concentrated below that mark in 100 - 115 ft. Bait fish hovering mostly above the thermocline as the lakers were pushing them up. I managed to go 5 for 8. Most fish averaging 2-3lbs. One was closer to 4lbs. NK28 sliver green or Blue Thunder at 100Ft was working well. Also caught a couple on the slider with a small F5 flatfish. Two kept for the frying pan, the rest were released. Get out and enjoy whetever type of fishing suits you best.

Very nice, I haven't had a chance to get out in the back lakes for lakers this year and was wondering how it was this year. Thanks for the report.
