Has anyone been out to the Bonnet lately, thinking of Wed. this week or am I to late. I am new to this area & type of fishing. Any suggestions.

I havent even been out of wellington yet but from my experience / knowledge. I'd start around 100ft run the lines around 50-60 and for bait who knows. I've had my best success with green flys. Good luck. Let us know how you make out!

I haven't been out in a couple of weeks and we were getting a few then, but I would think the time is quickly running out for out there. I would be thinking they are staging in front of the main rivers about now. If you do hit the Bonnet, let us know how you make out.

Hello all I when down to the creeks this morning .shelter valley,lake port,and hortops .No salmon to be found anywhere they are still in the big lake.Hope this helps everyone a bit and good luck all.

Still lots of fish around.
Try the Hay Stack and the Dog Bone about 3-4 miles south of
the Bonnet.

hot water moved in like silver fox said lots of fish including browns bows and atlantics seen a nice 5lbs yesterday come in. we were 19/22 friday lots of bait and hooks south of bonnet.

They are still around. Marked lots & we caught one this am 15lb . Got 5 bows as well. one being a nice one 10lb ish. We didnt venture south any further than palen bank.
