After plying the waters of the river for 'eyes with little success over the last 2-3 years, I finally seem to be getting into some gooduns. Finding them in unpredictable spots from kingston to Cardinal :?: have yet to hit any numbers of them consistently, but here's some recent big walters:

Got this 8.5 lb'r jigging my favorite large pike spoon last week...which was lost the following night in the same spot when something big broke my 20lb braid (was using a heavy flour leader) 8O

Went back to that same spot the following night and fished from 6pm till 1am without a bite

Got this 11+lbr (scale was all over the place) on a reef runner 'drifting' in 50-60km/hr wind and hail on Sunday, put up one hell of a fight on my 6'10" medium rod :D

Those are really nice fish, bet it wasn't a fun time on Sunday with the wind - You're a brave soul.

Thanks for sharing your river fish with us.

Sweet eyes for sure!!!

Looks like I should give the river a try in the fall sometime, I've only fished for eyes a bit in the spring.

Great job out there.
