Headed to the Bay yesterday.
On the water by 8. Talked to a fellow that was just packing up. Said he had a great day yesterday, but with the forecast today he was heading home.
Trolled out from Picton harbour for about an hour. Marked a few fish. Winds starting to blow.

Moved South of the Fairy about 9:30 wind not too bad. (for about 10 minute. LOL) marked lots of fish. No takers.

Fished for about 3 hours. Lots of fish under the boat. I guess that is where they all stayed as our lines were out 125" back and 30' off the side..

Big barge came by. watched move around all of the fishermen. Man was he good.

Moved North of the Fairy around 1.

The screen went black with fish. Still no takers.

Headed back to the launch about 3:30. Few guys waiting to take their boats out. Same story for them NOTHING.
They did say that again yesterday was great.
Talked to the captain of Sqaure tail Charters. He said they had a great day yesterdat. I think it was either 9 or 11 for 16. NICE. Should have been here yesterday. Story of my life.

Hope to get down again on Fri. Or maybe I should say Thurs. LOL

Hope it does not freeze.

They guys I talked to at the dock said the same their screens were black with fish. So I guess my finder is working too bad my catcher was not.

My last prediction was bang on so I'll make another (hey, have to participate in some way given I can't get out :)

Here it goes:

If the current forecast holds (no storms in the forecast) and the N/W winds keep the eastern air our of our area, Friday 4:30 - 7pm should be a good time.

I'm a big believer in the moon phases too. Been proved over and over on my boat.

I've got the same app! Weather also plays a big role which is not obvious especially on the big lake where the fish are many feet down and away from the action above the surface. Much yet to understand...

The best combo I've found is this (sorry not much good this time of year):

1) Hot humid calm summer day
2) Sunset corresponding with moonrise
3) Massive thunderstorm 2-3 hours after sunset

Fish 1 hour before sunset to one hour after sunset. Works for just about any species, LM Bass seem to be affected the most. Best day was a couple years ago with ~25 LMs in 90 mins with 6 over 3lbs on a lake where previous PB was under 2lbs!

Btw, this also works if you want to go for a walk in the woods and observe lots of animal activity. But be careful, my little guy almost got run over by a deer that made no attempt to avoid us!
