Quinte Fishing

Well Leon and I headed out to the gap and worked our way back in from there. Picked up a 5 lber on the taildancer 70 ft back and 100 ft out to the side , while trolling the south shore near pryners cove. Saw fish boated here and there but definately not schooled up. Was running a reef runner 28 feet down and had a viscious hit. Fish popped the rod holder out of the receiver and almost lost everything. I had the drag set waaayyy too tight and ended up ripping the hooks out of the mouth. Was stopped by the MNR creel guys and they said it was very slow all over and of all the boats they had talked with only a few had fish.

My brother and me fished from 9:00am to 3:00pm.We used planer's and flat lined,not even a hit.Fished from Thompson Pt. to ferry to cement plant.Marked lots of fish no hits.If weather holds up going out around 9:00am Sunday
