We were out at county shores yesterday. There was about 5-7 inches of ice by the red buoy and the wind was howling. It was a good day, 3 eyes and two perch. The walleye were all in the 4 pound range and all were caught before noon. We stayed out until 6 but had no luck at dusk.

My buddy and I got out to County Shores early Saturday (firsts ones out @ 5:45) with a decent walk out to the red buoy where we settled on about 4"-5" of ice. Unfortunately we were only able to stick around until around 8:30, damn life always has to get in the way of fhishing. But in that time my buddy hooked onto 4 nice eyes and myself 3. People all around us were catching fish, sounded like a lot of fun out there. I started off with a gold Mr. Champ and a 2 medium muds and wasn't having any luck. By that time my buddy already hooked 3 eyes [but lost them due to karma from sending me pictures of him fishing while I was at work last week ;) ] with a silver spoon and 2 muds. I switched to my silver and blue spoon and within 1 min of it jiggin' down there I had fish on! Never caught anything to run home about, I ended up loosing 1 and catching a 3 and 4 lb'ers, and my buddy lost 3 (one being closer to 7-8lb'er) but finally reeled in a 5.5lb'er, after I forgave him and gave him a sharp new treble hook to put on his spoon. Can't wait to get back out to the red bouy, I've always had good luck out there. Happy fishing everyone, keep safe!
