Hi all.
Ron from Skevys was planning a tourney for tomorow sunday the 13. The turnout was low so he was going to cancel. If guys want to enter tomorow the GO TIME is 7 am and you can put your $ 130 in the pot. The end time is 3 30. Ron will be at the Launch approx 1.5 miles east of the Desoronto bridge, early. I am coming but won't get to launch till about 7:45. The rules are pretty simple, live release, 4 fish max, only one over 24 and 3/4 inches per angler, two person team. You don't have to be in the water at 7 as I said I can't be in till about 7:45, but you do have to be at the weigh in by 3:30.
I do not Know Ron other than conversations on the phone the last two weeks, his cause is a good one. The jist of this Tourney is to raise money for a insurance rider. The Insurance rider about $2500 is required to get handicapped adults out fishing.
For Ron's sake I do not speak for him or his cause, I am just a guy coming fishing to Quinte and I am "IN" for a good cause and the challenge.
On a side note the bite is on well east of the Ferry.
Cheers Clark

Well, some had a good day... Congratulations to Dan and Sheldon for sticking it out in the wind and bringing the only fish in.

Clark - no luck at all today, I hope you got home safely. It's unbelievable to see someone drive 5 hrs, have trailer problems and then turn around to drive home, still content that they are helping a good cause.

I know Ron will be looking to do this again. It is a great cause and every dollar helps. For those that are unaware, this tournament was started to raise money for Quinte Vocational Support Services. They will use the money to create fishing opportunities for handicapped adults.

Thanks to all that participated; I hope it's busier at the weigh scale next time!
