Hi All, I recall some previous years I went twice for ice fishing for walleye with a group of guys, and "launched" at end of Herchimer Avenue in Belleville (Bayview Heights Park & East Bayshore Park). And those people offered me ride out on their ATVs both times.

Now that I tried last weekend off County Shores, but didn't catch nothin', I am thinking this weekend (perhaps tomorrow Sunday Feb 1) will have to try a different area. Thus question about this access point off Herchimer Avenue. I wonder as a walker and from this access point, if I'd need to walk loooooooog on ice before I'd hit some possible walleye ground.

Thanks!

You can try George st it is a little west of herchimer.
I only went out from herchimer a few times last yr and I took the sled to masassauga point to fish( I don't even know if that is safe this yr???)

If you go to George just walk out to the buoy

Fished off S. George Street in Belleville yesterday (Sunday Feb 1) from 12:00noon to 6:00AM. First fished 17 fow close to the bridge, then moved a couple of times to near the big crack at 13 or 14 fow. Skunked again!;-)
