Spent a couple of hours on Thursday afternoon trying to catch the millions of marks at Thompson's, but no takers. On Friday we worked the Reach from Keith's Shoal to 4 miles past the lighthouse. We went 6 for 6 ranging from 8.5 to 10.9; all but one came from riggers set from 47 ft to 75ft down, lures 50 to 75 ft back. Saturday was tough, just two fish, again on riggers set very deep (where the marks were). Sunday the wind was howling in the morning and lots of boats left and went home. The wind dropped off late in the morning and we went 4 for 6. Again, 5 of those came from riggers set very deep. The fish were concentrated in depths from 60 to 120 ft, not good fishing water for walleyes. We took a LOT of time retrieving fish and had no problems with swim bladders - they all went straight back down with no trouble. Quite a tough few days and I hope all those marks are feeding when I get back in a couple of weeks. If they are, my arms will be sore! Good fishing!
