It is always nice to see a special activity, event or proclamation to make things colourful. I would prefer it quieter but I suppose those times will be coming in due course. (my estimate for "org. confusion time for BOQ is 2-3 yrs. I am sad to say based upon what I have observed; following this there could be some stability).
I watch, wait and "giggle" at times during these most recent topsy turvey times in the Bay of Quinte area. It all seems oh so typical, yet has had more than the odd twist to make things interesting. Far from being over it will offer significant upcoming food for thought for the resource staff employed to handle it. Still doable but tricky without ample leverage room and the right personnel.
May (Grey report should be going public soon) and late fall (reg. change decision time) should be marked off as possible key times, coupled with some more org. meetings, etc. when things cool down. There are other elements and opportunities to be considered rapidly surfacing. Hopefully it will not be disaster cleanup time. Harvest reduction looks like it will or should be reviewed again.... only this time making it serious to include all gill netting, sportspeople and internal native accountability.
The Northport and Denny's Dame "parades" still seem unreal but perhaps these will serve as a wakeup call top those that choose to deny public input by disrupting volunteer efforts. Of course there could be a few additional surprises. Timing will again be everything. Understanding it is the key.
I watch and wait......

My guess is that there is more in store for
