If there are no dead fish showing up on the shore, there shouldn't be much of a problem. I doubt very much that any of the folks here would want to waste their fish. The mortality rate of "some fish" caught at great depths though should be considered. There's nothing wrong with fishing deep. I'll do it, but I don't plan on catching and releasing a pile of them that are gonna die. I'd rather they die under the knife. I like to fish the shallows in the evening, and don't want to be told I can't fish the big water for bigger fish. I do though have a responsibility to my fellow anglers to not be wasteful and greedy.
