Great post guys! Please keep us out-of-towners informed on the ice-out in the channel and athol bay. It's a long drive from Brockville just to turn around and go home if we can't get the boat in.

All is good off Wellington.

I have not been out but am continually getting updates from guys at the launch and on-line.
Since wednesday it has been hot and I have had reports on over 30 fish caught.

I'll be out on the weekend.

Al

Wellington Channel has been open off & on most of the winter. It was the lanches the were froze in.

I drifted roe bags in Feb. and March.

Al

P.S. Catcher posted a picture on this thread of Sand Banks beach conditions on the Tuesday and it was the same on Wednesday.

I did get on the water. Launched shortly after 9. Heavy fog. It didn't burn off until noonish.

Temperature at West point. 36.
Athol bay 38

Worked deeper at West point for some lakers. And in shallower in toward sandbanks . No takers.

Next trip might put mast on and otter boats and try to get into real skinny water.

Channel in Wellington is silted in. Some spots about 2 fow.

Temperature outside channel was 41

3 other boats out
