Fri evening got out for a couple of hours before the rain and cold front moved in. Started out at ram island in the weed bed with cranks and a bucktail jig. Weeds looked good and landed one eye about 3 lbs on the jig. Jumped over to the church and found the weeds are coming in pretty good but no fish. Then jumped over to Sherman's and caught one eye while casting a #9 taildancer next to weeds. It was a decent one over 5 lbs. Then the rain and front moved in and called it a night. Saturday afternoon back out for a couple hrs got zip. Sunday afternoon back out working the shorelines in long reach and we got 5 eyes and dropped a couple casting cc shad. Most of these were 3 lbs. While moving around long reach we saw multiple schools of baitfish on the screen. The shad are in

Now that the Shad are in does that effect the bite? Also what are the better shad imitation lures

The MNR creel census surveys ( the MNR folks who visit you on the water and ask u questions about your fishing success) have always shown a drop in angling success during early June and then a return to better catch relates within a couple weeks. As for shad lures.. You probably know the staples like cc shad, tail dancers in #7,#9 and flicker shad.
