Things has to be completed at the camp, cover the boat and clean up, so Laker John & I headed out to finish the winterization of the boat - OH YEA----may as well go fishing as the cover up won't take more than an hour......

Hit the water and trolled up and down in Middle Hay Bay with no results. Took off for Huffs Wharf to see what we could see, as we went past Shermans Pt, we could see the the charters working the are mouth of Hay Bay and Long Reach.

We made an 50 minute pass at Huffs and began heading back down stream, the winds picked up dramatically, so we decided to head back to Hay Bay. Went ashore and covered the boat and put the golf cart away, batteries ready for storage at home.

Back out at 1300 and fished til 1500, marked a TON of fish in the deep hole in front of Blakewoods, made several passes thry them and the board fired with a TDD 11 Taildancer, John took the rod as the board disappeared - not a good sign some time.

Brought the fish to board and it dove forcing the rod tip deep into the water, John said "Baa" and sure enough as the fish surfaced a Huge Sheepie, close to 15 lbs. Dang!!!!!!!!

Flipped over the side and it was gone, guess all those marks weren't walleyes after all!!!!!!!

Took the boat out, cleaned it out and covered it up and hit the road by 1600 - a Day well spent......

Stay Tuned

"Dang a 15lb sheepshead"??? Pound for pound I'd take one of those over a garbage bag all day long. Thanks for the report. I'm heading out this weekend, hopefully wont smell the skunk as we did this past weekend.
