4 Dec Put in at the ferry at 5:30 to a light breeze and trolled up to the batcave in the dark. Nothing, not even on the sonar. Phil switched to a chartreuse and pink reef runner (can't remember the name) and hooked a nice 5 pounder. By this time the wind had come up and we were bouncing pretty good. An hour later he got a 9 pounder on the same lure, 150 ft behind the planer. I put on a chartreus and purple tail dancer and got a monster hit that took line for several minutes but eventually pulled the hook. While checking my other line I found I had tangled in a free floating line which turned out to be attached to a lure and Planer board. A short time later I got another hit and pulled in a 5 pounder. Met the MNR boat, had a chat and went back to fishing. Phil took the last eye of the day with a 10 that was almost impossible to net because of the boat rocking so violently. Had to call it a day when the boards started hopping from wave to wave but by far the best day since Oct.

Appreciate the report.
Glad it's picking up for you, got to luv rock n roll quinte style.

Think it's "finders keepers" on the board and lure if left floating out there, nice catch.

( pink lemonade ? )

We found the owners later in the day, it was pretty obvious they were searching for something and since there was 300 ft of line on it I figured it had just spooled off someones reel
