Well I can gladly say my ice season is under way fished for crappies on a back lake north west of Kingston weds and Thursday about 5 inches of good black ice We did very well i can honestly say it was the first time I'v got them to bite in the winter not have having to use live bait Wednesday we had 3 bigger slabs in the mix two just over 13" and one 14/1/4 " yesterday we were on ice around 1 and they started biting right away the bite slowed down around 330 and never picked back up at prime time a lot of fish were caught but nothing over 12" we packed up around 5:30
