Find its soft ice too. not that gd hard black new ice...she has alot of holes punched in her everywhere and buncha snow on top thats wet and sort of mild temps i find the ice there is more like end of season ice.. Its softer and lots of thinner spots arnd..i think after this cold snap alot more options will open up..its better to be safe then sorry....

There was no more than a dozen huts on the ice at 11 am when I drove by on my way home from my son's hockey game on Trenton. Nobody out anywhere else....

I walked out at Potters this morning, only about an inch and a half, was first on the ice at 6:00am with a couple other guys. Walked out the travelled path to be safe but ended up going in and almost right under at the mid way point across the bay. Thank god my cousin was with me or I might not be posting. We told everyone preparing in the parking lot to forget about it as it seemed to have lost a couple inches over night. A few people ventured out and ended up coming back the majority kept going and actually started fishing. Never ever been so scared in my life. I am not chancing it anymore. I have been warmed by people before and still went out like many of us do, but today scared me bad. I can not believe people are actually out there. I was out Fri morning and Fri night and the ice was thin, but ok. This morning it was all gone. Dont risk it folks, couple cold days this week and should be ok bylater next week.

Ita gonna get weak fast
