Well it has been decided, saturday afternoon some buddies and I will be heading down to the cottage. Hopefully the ice is decent out in front of my place and we get on some gold. If not I guess it will be a 4 hr drive to drink beer and play poker, LOL. If anybody gets out and has a firsthand report of the ice I would appreciate it. I generally stay away from Shermans first trip because of the current, but will make the hike (1/2 hr walk) if the ice is good. I assume Ice cleats are necessary with the rain, eh?

Ice was great between 6-7 everywhere we went. Snow on the ice saturday and sunday morning made for real easy walking. Warm weather and rain made it real slick by monday morning. Still lots of ice but impossible to walk without cleats. Buddy only had his boots so we packed it in at lunch monday and headed home. We caught fish and had a great time but with over 900 views and no help, I think i will return the favor. Good luck everyone...
