Any one been out there, I'm assuming it's wide open.

First year I'd be able to troll it in Feb!

From what I've heard, its wide open. i will be launching at the ferry and trolling near the light house. I need some good fishing time, haven't been out since mid December and seens as how there isn't any snow for Snowmobiling i figured id hit the water!

I'm targeting eyes, planning on running deep divers off planer boards.
Anybody target Lakers? Do you need to be trolling with down riggers?

I've gone down there twice in december with no success
Usually troll from kieths shoal to the ferry.

Is picton bay opened up? Or bottom end of long reach?
Best bet in adolphus?

3 hr drive to wash lures is getting fustrating.
I got a 13lber about 10 yrs ago and have been hooked ever since! Never seem to have good results. Dying to see some of that quinte gold!!!!

I'm targeting eyes too, and ya i run deep divers off planer boards.
but if their not hitting ill throw a downrigger down with a spoon to see what shows up.
Bay of Quinte I target eyes, lake ontario its kings and rice lake its bass.
I was there 4-5 times october- december with no luck. but from what ive heard, and guys ive talked to,
this fall was a wash for alot of guys. im just looking forward to getting out and spending the weekend on the water.
I saw on another forum a picture of the bay from a satellite and it was all ice. looked like onle east of the ferry was open.
where are you travelling from?

To target Lakers, lead core or clip-on weights should get the lures down 12-15 feet, use spoons and troll in 24-30 feet of water, no need to dredge the bottom.

WE're gonna see if any walleyes are there and if not we'll move and look for lakers.

Hey Rod, I'm going to check the ferry launch, I've only launched from Picton and H.J McFarland Conservation before.
I will let you know how the ferry launch is.
