I went out to Pt Anne after work yesterday and was surprised not to be wading in a foot of water on the ice after the previous night's heavy rain. There was minimal snow cover and ice had 1"-2" of semi-hard slush, but it very easy to walk in and out. Given the drop in temps last night, ice will be firmer, so wear cleats! Ice thickness was about 18"

Perch were biting ok, no jumbos. I was able to find a good spot, they were hitting Rapala jigs and small Macho spoons baited with worms. Only saw one hut further out.

Good luck to all on this last 'eye weekend !
