Martycoo,
Is the 14yr okay? Did he make it off the ice himself or did he have to be rescued??

There was a report last night on TV in Kingston about the kid who fell into the river and was pulled out. He and a group of friends were playing on the footbridge and guess what he fell in.

Luckily for him, the police said that he was able to get ashore right away and not swept under the ice.

I didn't get the impression he was out on the ice and broke thru.

watch Out - Play safe

marty: is there anyone hiking out past snake island at all? I'd imagine its still a bit treacherous toward the channel?

Herchimer is safer but I was out at snake island last week and its scetchy! 4 inches some spots then 6 inches other spots! But herchimer is producing and safier so Id advise anyone to go there!
