Wind forecast is calling for 15km N/E for Friday and 15km S/W wind for Saturday... Coming from Burlington and don't want to get there and not be able to fish due to wave conditions.. I have a 16.6 ft Lowe deep v...
Just curious what some of you local folks think???
There will be two of us and two dogs so you thoughts are appreciated.
Thanks in advance..

You didn't state where you were fishing. You may wish to consult these two sites.

Forecast looks fine for your craft. I have a 16.5 Princecraft and I would have no issues in going out based on this forecast.

Forget the forecast as close as they get is dark tonight light tomorrow. Tues the forecast was light wind not much for gusts so we took an hour running out to Main Duck from east side of Kingston at 30 mph. While out the wind came up ( even the forecast direction was wrong ) and it took over 2 hours to get back 22 foot boat in 4 footers with occasional 5. Get a Ouija Board. If I had known 20 % was a pass I would have stayed in school and become a Meteorologist.

As mentioned above sometimes the weather forecasts are wrong, but you have to go by something. Check a few different weather/wind websites and compare them to come up with an answer. Usually if it says 15K or 20K for the day, that is the strongest wind for the day. That may not happen until late afternoon so you can fish the morning or vice versa. Most websites give hourly forecasts so wait as long as you can before you make your decision. Not much point in looking at them 3-4 days in advance, because they will definitely change.

Deseronto area was the plan but after reading other posts i decided I would not be coming to the chaos as said it will be a very busy weekend on the water and I will come down thru the week to ovoid the crowds.. Also never took into fact bass season...... Dam bass always messing things up.. Lol....
I guess I should have asked what what types of wind and direction makes the bay "deseronto area" not safe....
Good luck to all who get out this weekend and I look forward to seeing and reading your posts....

In that boat and the given forecast you should be able to fish quite easily

They missed the mark on Friday, it was a gorgeous morning. the breeze began after 1400hrs.

It's hard to judge weather from afar, we have found that sometimes you have to go and check it out.

Saturday will be a zoo with bass boats all over the place

Stay safe and watch out for the trollers.
