Quinte Fishing

Hit the water at 7:45 out of Deseronto and worked my way west of the bridge and could only get perch but some nice ones to boot but all were released.. Came back east around the island and worked that stretch trolling and jigging.. Finally got a walleye trolling on a spinner and worm in about 20ft then quickly 2 more in the same area so I tried jigging a minnow and wham big eye smashes my jig and the fight is on.
I would guess it to have been 24 to 28 inches a real nice fish. As he coming in at the side of the boat he decided to jump and shake the hook... Gone!!! nothing else except perch so I moved up to the island where I caught 1 small drum and 1 bass ... Took the boat out around 7pm a headed home.. Wish I was closer or I would be out there a little more often..
