Hi All,

I am a shore fisherman from Ottawa looking to tick off bowfin on the bucket list. I have google mapped haybay and i can not find any shore access. Any suggestions. For bowfin I guess I would be looking at the Eastern half of the bay.

Any and all help appreciated. Thanks!

More then willing to return the favor for Ottawa shore fishing locations.

That's going to be tough as the land around Hay Bay is all owned. Unless you know someone or ask them if you could fish from their shore, there isn't much opportunity to shorefish.

Cheers

PS there are trailer parks or Blakewoods, where you might be able to inquire if you can fish off the docks?

Why not try shore fishing from the public boat launches?? Maybe walk along shoreline to get away from launch if possible. Just a thought. Not sure if you'll get bowfin, but at least you can wet a line.
