Not sure how many of you have been by the mouth of the Moira and Trent Rivers lately, but I was shocked to see BOATS in both areas yesterday and the day before ( Feb 1 and Jan 31).
I'm aware of the harm the ice breaker has caused in Belleville, but did not realize the mouth of the river in Trenton was wide open as well.
I work in Belleville and my job requires me to commute throughout the quinte area on a daily basis, and yesterday while driving I saw a few guys launching thier boats near the CN Rail bridge in Trenton. Didn't have a chance to see if people we catching any, but would appreciate it if anyone out in boats in these areas recently could post some results.
Not all ramps were looking usable in Trenton, but I saw three ramps that were clear sailing as of yesterday. Not sure where the Belleville boats launched from?
I'm usually more an observer of this Board and appreciate its quality very much. I personally don't own a boat and do much of my fishing from shore while living vicariously through all your great posts. However, I'm always willing to give first hand observations of the local conditions to all..... whether you're from north or shouth of the border.
Cheers,
hopp
