We decided that any day is better than not to go fishing, so we headed for Finkle's and off the fishing grounds. Got out and had the lines in the water by 0830, the first board fired at 0900 and I was into a good fish. Sure enough, John netted the huge pike. Better get the scale for this baby, the Berkley showed 10lb 14oz, it was a battle scarred fish that returned to the depths.

In the next 2 and a half hours the boards fired five more times, with three more pike, (10-8-7 lbs) a 3lb 4oz SM Bass and finally a walleye, 24.8 inches and at 5lbs 10 oz - a real fatty.

The bass and eye are headed to the table.

Called it a day at 1430 as the winds were blowing 2.5 footers and nothing had happened since the clouds covered the sky and the water was a dark grey.

We have a two good trips with a variety of fish, always a good thing.

The lure of choice again today was the Deep Down Husky Jerk, they have been HOT!!!!! for us.

Stay Tuned

David aka Superdad

Thanks for the report - nice boat you have - I guess you need one for the big water where you are fishing - the fish should be good eating - oh - maybe they will put a few pounds on you so your belt fills in a few more notches - just kidding
