The temp was ok and the winds ok too, so Laker John & I headed out to find these fish as seen on the board.

We started at 0830 on Inner Hay Bay with a water temp of 38 degs F, trolled for an hour and hit a 22" pike, it's a fish but the wrong kind.

Headed to Long Reach and found the place filled with boats, trolling and jigging, many charters also plying the waters.

We fished the High Shore, water temp here was 43 deg F and then down towards cement plant to escape the masses. Trolled Long Reach until 1300 and headed back to Hay Bay, fished there til 1530 and hit the shore.

We tried high, low, big small, up & down in the WC. NADA!!!!!!!

We never saw a net over the side. Lots of fishing and not much catching...

From our observations, there are fish in the Reach but the numbers don't appear to be there, probably the start of the run and rest will follow. There's lots of open water so don't dispair, just keep the boat ready.

Stay Tuned

Thanks for the info.. My son and I have been fishing the narrows as usual with no luck pretty surprised we haven't got anything but a couple perch. I figured we'd at least get a pike or bass,, but nothing, just wasting gas... Temps are a bit high still for this area for eyes anyhow... But there at least should have been a pike hunting around idk geuss that's y its called fishing ... not catching
