I have yet to wet a line for fall walleye as Ive been busy as heck and the wind on weekends has been brutal. I did manage to get off work last fri and head out on the big lake in search of smallies. We did very well and boated 49 fish in a one km stretch. It was an amazing day with multiple double headers. The majority of fish were 3-4 lbs with many in the high 4's. Also a bunch of young fish too to balance it out and a good indicator for the future . The fish are out around the islands on the fast dropping slopes but dont expect to pull up anywhere and start catching. We spent some time just driving around scanning until we found consistent marks. Catching them was the easy part, tubes and dropshots in anything goby color. Its alot of fun doing the video game fishing (dropping your bait down on top of fish marked on your graph and watch them bite ). No real hawgs but plenty of great fishing. Season closes dec 15th so if you get a chance take it!
