Heading out Sunday, is the ferry launch still open?

Good day

I'm taking some friends out Sunday for one last kick before everything freezes up and I'd like to launch at the ferry what is the best way to confirm that the water is still open enough to get out ? Other than going to go look.

I've been out a couple times this fall and no eyes and I must get one before the hard water sets in any advice is much appreciated as I feel like I've tried everything this year and no takers

You're going to have to wait till the weekend to know. -18 Thursday night may lock it up but it's supposed to be windy so hard to say. Also depends on how much snow there is between now and then as they tend to plow the snow and pile it in front of the ramp making it useless. Same in bath.

Thanks Big Mac, I have a plow on my truck just in case.
If the wind is from the north I might have to change my plans and launch at Finkles which isn't bad unless it's a south wind.

You're prepared! Awesome haha.

If you launch at Finkles stay to the east side of the ramp. There's a large hole in the steel grate on the ramp on the pier side that will swallow your tire.
