First and fore most, I would like to thank each person on this forum for any advice they have shared on their success or advice they have give to help others like myself, it has helped tremendously.

A couple guys and myself are coming to Quinte this coming weekend on the hopes to catch a couple of pickerel for the family. With the upcoming rain predictions and warm temperatures , does anyone think the ice conditions will not be safe? We are bringing a couple old snowmobiles to try and find a good spot as we only usually come once or twice a year. Any advice will be taken as your opinion and never a guarantee of course.
Thank you

It all depends on where you’ll be fishing. I was there last week and was on 10 inches of good ice but I heard a few spots only had 3-4.

I think the ice should be fine I’d imagine the snow on top is just all slush now It’s +7 here now Weather network is calling for 20-30mm of rain between now (Thur) and Sat Am Going to be a wet mess by tomorrow afternoon But there’s also a flash freeze warning for overnight Fri The temps going to go from +8 Fri afternoon to -12 by Sat AM (feels like -20) Going to be slick !! Im not a sledder so I’m not sure how that will go for the snowmobiles I suggest to bring ice cleats for walking though
