Was heading to Finkle's this morning for the first time, but that idea got blown out of the water. I really appreciated hans post about the crack. Saved me a drive to disappointment.

They're still driving trucks on Beaver, but I'm done.

Released my minnows back to their home and put all my ice fishing gear away.

Going to keep an eye on Finkle's and get the boat in soon as it opens up.

Hoping next weekend (I wish).

I was thinking of launching at Cardinal and trying around the bridge at Johnstown for walleye this spring.

If anyone has done that, I'd appreciate any info you could provide.

Take care and have a safe boating season.

Hey Roblin,
Typically when Walleye opens that stretch is pretty hot. Last year with the high water it was very hit & miss. Cardinal for the first few weekends of opening is a zoo, trolling is almost impossible just because of the tight quarters & number of boats. There's guy's that fish the bridge faithfully most are dragging worm harnesses. There's some good eyes out in front of the grain elevators also. I don't target Walleye much during soft water season but know many that do. If you plan on fishing Cardinal during the opening weekend be warned you may be better to launch in Johnstown or Prescott & drive down. Last year Cardinal launch was closed due to the high water. Shoot me a PM before you're coming & I'll let you know what I can.
