Quinte Fishing

just got back from fishing the bay and boy was there a lot of perch. Fished the old church in hay bay (ice 14 inches) shermans point, and huffs(crazy ice) tonight and boy she was slow for walleye but crazy for perch Caught three between two of us, one just under 10.
The perch tonight at huffs were crazy the were so thick on bottom the sonar read them as a solid three foot bar, sent the camera down and it was a massive school, they were not that big so they would hit and try to rip your minnow off. the set rod would bounce like a jackhammer off the ice. They stayed right until dark and never moved caught probably 40 without even downsizing baits. The ice was crazy and would vary 4-5 inches in thickness we fished in 32 feet just off shore on 9 inches, but found four mixed white and black twenty paces to the left. it is a must spud location for sure that will likely be gone soon.
