Well this is a strange post. I was out at Thompson’s from 630 until just after 11. There were a few older holes that were open, but nothing of any size. One lager hole near ramp but it was an obvious dangerous hole. We spudded to 3/4 of the way to the far shore. There was 6-8” of good ice where we were. Fish were there but not always committing. We caught three between 2 and 9 lbs. We saw other two guys ice a 6 lber. After that they put up their hut and we heard some yelling a couple of times indicating maybe they had additional luck. There were two guys very close to high shore that came on a quad down from hi shore. Could se maybe 6 guys at Sherman’s straight out from ramp. Also 7-8 huts out from Old church. There is the possibility that one of the other two guys went through. We warned them that they should spud there way. They seemed to ignore us and continued well past were we were. BATMAN

Luckily the person is still with us today. This incident could have easily been a recovery instead of a rescue.
