Hi all,

Coming up this weekend to Deseronto and will be fishing there and Hay Bay. Last time i fished there was easy 20 years ago so i'm sure the water has changed :). Can i ask what colours are suggested for Walleye? Pike?

Ive read that worm harnesses are a must, but just curious of other options if the bite is tough.

Thanks

We trolled worm harnesses and some Blue Foxes (Copper) tipped with Night Crawlers. As far as color goes, we used some blue suspending Bombers and some Neon Yellow and neon green Rapalas and Smithwicks to cast or troll as well. We found that the bright blue and neon colors worked best for the methods that we used. The water was still cold under the surface so we used some mid-deep divers and plugs to get the fish that were suspended at 4-10 ft of water in 15-20 ft of water. Best of luck!!! Keep us posted!!

Worm harnesses with gold or brass backs. Walleye see the back of you blade. Green and orange beads have been best for me.

Brought in 11 between the 3 of us last night in just over an hour. Using yellow or orange worm rigs on the mud flats at the end of Hay Bay.....decent!!!!

Thanks boys!!
