I had to put in a new live well pump in my '91 Bass Tracker which turned into quite a job - had to remove the gas tank to get at the pump - while I was doing that I noticed a couple spots on the flooring and side compartments that were soft so I ripped out the carpet and soft wood and replaced with 3/4 inch plywood - I painted the plywood a couple times to make it last - the one thing I concluded is that the carpet looks nice but it holds the water which in time rots the wood - I think a better solution is to eliminate the carpet and just paint the wood and leave it at that - we have so much rain down here lately that mushrooms were growing on the carpet -
