Havn't been out for 2 weeks so looking at the reviews I'm torn between hitting the Hay Bay flats or focusing in the reach ... or Shermans. I only have about 4 hours so can't afford the time to hit them all. Surprised I havn't seen any posts about the mouth of the Napanee River. Going to try and get out tomorrow late aft/evening and will post my results. Looking forward to trying out my new Uzick harnesses!

Jamie, My vote would be the Hay Bay Flats. Nice easy fishing. BATMAN

The wife and I got skunked opening day and the following weekend on the 11th. We fished from the municipal launch in Deseronto up to the mouth of the Napanee river. The only fish we caught were perch and a very large sheephead. Been fishing here for years and never got skunked before. going to try again this week-end 26th or 27th depending on weather.

started at the flats this aft with no luck so went to Ram Isl and got 2 eaters right away, but then nothing but pike and perch for 3 hours. back to the flats for 2 hours before dark and picked up 6 more eaters, all 1 to 2 pounds, and 2 surprise chunky crappie! 5 small pike just to add some excitement (and disappointment). Great night. Lots of boats but didn't see a lot of fish being brought in. Must have been my new Uzick spinner bait!

Yah this time of year is really hit and miss. They are about to transition in to "weed mode" and are cruising around the depths looking for bait. Should be in the next few weeks if we can get some warmer weather.

Pointe Anne has been fairly productive for me this year, but nothing shallower yet.
