Hi guys,

First of all thank you to the regular members for the valuable input from around the bay over the years, it is much appreciated and a great forum... I am a long time follower but first time poster. Most weekends I don;t have much to report on but enjoy getting out to wash some lures none the less.

With the nice weather finally got out this weekend. Started Saturday morning around 11am , the Raptors game Friday prevented an early start to the day. Fished around the red barn in the reach back to catalaque shoal with not more than several small perch to show for it. Trolled in anywhere from 20-35' of water with 3oz bottom bouncer and worm harness.

After a lunch and grass cutting break it was back to the water around 5:00pm and headed to the green can at catalaque shoal again. 10 minutes in had a nice 2lb eater in the boat. Was fishing in 12' - 15' of water with bottom bouncer rig again, tiger fire, 1.2 -1.5mph. After the first fish had another slightly bigger about 20 minutes later. Snapped the trailer hook when I got it in the boat so switched over to chartreuse and went about an hour with no action in the same area. Started trolling back towards quick short road in about 15' of water , the pup had his fill for his first fishing trip so pointed the boat back to the cottage. About half way there had a bend in the rod and managed to reel in another nice eater just shy of 5lbs. All in all fun day and can't wait to get back at it, hopefully under sunny skies again.

Stay safe and tight lines!
