Quinte Fishing

There is a particular rock pile in the Northport stretch I live on that I always seem to catch decent largemouth from. This year I think because of the high water, I have not caught anything off the pile, until this past week. Sunday morning I pulled two limits of chunky healthy 2-2 1/2's off it real fast and had a nice one break a lip off a new crankbait, hurray finally! A buddy of mine from Toronto pulled up and we chatted and I told him my recent success and left it for him to have some fun on. Tuesday afternoon I had a couple hours until dinner so I gave "my" rock pile a shot and WOW! Although the numbers weren't there the quality was. I landed a 5.8lb , a 5.2lb and a 4.7lb largemouth plus 3 other chunks and a decent pike ( if there is such a thing). All the fish came cranking extremely slow except for the 5.2lb on a Yum Dinger. I don't usually weigh my fish but I lent a buddy my butt board for the last Quinte Fishing and he still has it. I have pics on my phone but moving them to here I would be better off drawing a facsimile.

Is it a submerged rock pile or is it usually out of the water?

5.8lbs ! I'll be heading to "your" rock pile shortly. Lol

Hello Joey, the rock piles are submerged and sitting right on a drop off at 10 feet deep. When the water is clear u can see the top of it with ur naked eyes.

Joey, with a Join Date of 2005 we assume you're familiar with The Big O to a certain extent?

However if NOT, you NEED to be prepared for a britches-staining 'thrill' out there in the BIG water.

It's so clear on a calm day you'd swear those Rocks are right underneath your hull, itching to carve holes under your water line. Seriously, it is pretty creepy at first sight. Just be aware, okay?
