We’re finally retiring to Belleville next year. Perfect timing. Im interested in looking for seasonal salmon, as I usually fish the east end of the gta in Lake Ontario. Any heads up to areas is all I need, I can explore. So pumped to be coming out to Belleville. Thanks gang! Cheers

Congrats on retirement. Belleville is relatively close to great salmon grounds.

There are launches in Brighton Bay, Wellington and Wicklow. Wicklow is only a few miles run to salmon grounds, Wellington is 6-15 miles depending where you want to fish.

We did the same thing 25 years ago - holy moly, where did THOSE go???

A year earlier we found 'The County'... on the last morning after three disappointing days searching for a 'good place' to call home 'forever'. We were headed back home to s/w Ontario, but decided to start the trip back by investigating County Rd. 3 on the north shore of PEC.

Oh migoodness... what a pretty place.

Took a full year to find something (NOTHING for sale, for obvious reasons), but when we did it was "Lock it down QUICK, before somebody else grabs it." Done deal, and four weeks later we moved on a foggy day in mid-January. Not for a minute have there been regrets. People are AWESOME, Fishing is great year 'round, and access to 'City-like' Shopping, Hospitals, etc., is crazy good.

We could go on... (relax, we won't)

We migrated to Kingston and the BOQ in 1991 after fishing here for a number of years. It was a GREAT decision and we we haven't regretted it.

Welcome to BOQ
