The spot lock on my Minnkota made my day yesterday and gave some bass a lesson on Yum Dingers. Yesterday morning I pulled up at one of " my spots" with hopes of catching a few. I made a bunch of casts with a crankbait, swimjig and creature bait , nada. I then pulled out my Dinger rod, bam my first fish and it had another one with it, this one was over 18". I hit the spot lock. For the next couple hours it was party time. I left spot lock on for the entire time and ended up landing 19,also lost 5 on the way back to the boat. The average size of the school was quite large as I had 5 over 18". The fish were all clean without any hook marks. As well I also caught a large summertime walleye which got off at the boat with me trying to hand grab it. I cant say enough about how many fishing days have been saved or made in the last 4 years with spot lock.

I just added a Terrova to my rig and the spot lock is an amazing feature and one I've always wanted.

When recently on holidays at the cottage, I could help people in the boat with tangles, putting on new lures and just hang out without the need of being tied to the foot peddle.

Well I do not have spot lock on my tinny but I do have mt 7 ti. and with that the accuracy is great . catch a fish note the chart and down scan or side image and repeat repeat repeat. give you days like today yesterday and likely the last 10 - 12 times out. Two hours today sent back the 2 bass in the pics + 5-6 others of lessor size, kept these 3 walleye and sent 2 others back, One under and one over slot.
Bass 15-5, 16.6
Walleye 14, 17.5, 18.5

We love it also. Really enjoy taking the kids out and swim off the boat. Put the spot lock on and not a worry. Other than staying to the rear of the boat of course.

X2 on Spot Lock...it's fantastic. You can actually fish an area without worrying about drifting off structure.
It's changed how I fish.

Cheers,
