Honestly, I could see this coming for a long time. It was a bad place to begin with for reasons said. Hopefully they build a couple nice big ramps to replace this one. Ideally one down near huycks point or north beach and one near sandbanks.
Too bad they didn't do that first then close the one on main street...
Any word on the Beach street launch?

So the Council voted 11-3 to close the ramps. Guess that's 11 people we need to put pressure on for their future as councilors . I'll bet the same group couldnt open the doors fast enough for folks to do the wine tours. What's interesting is they quote problems from last summer re parking etc yet they wait until now with approx one month to go before salmon fishing to attempt to address any issues. Their first attempt to make the beach launch for non motorized boats really tells a tale!
Hope the local businesses realize the short sightedness of this decision not to mention the timing.

It's deep enough for most. The lake is slowly rising.. ish. At least it's not dropping.

We marked 2' at the shallowest in the rescue boat, most of the channel was at least 3'. We rubbed a bit on the way back in, but can make it.
