Friday after work hit Pt Anne and did well with a limit with the biggest 8.04 lbs. Satuday aft back there and fish were in a bad mood. They were showing themself but just look N leave. Buddy with me got a 6lb and a 3lb, I got a couple and so did another buddy but just small stuff. Went back out Sunday morning hoping they had changed mood over night but not really a couple dinks here and a buddy got a 3 lber. Got a txt from a buddy out there Sunday evening, and of course the fish lit up. 2 man limit including a pair of 8s and a 10. heard some of the folks west from here did well on the afternoon bite too.

Thanks for the report Dan, sounds like you're having a good hardwater season. Could you tell me if quads have been out on big bay? I haven't seen to many posts regarding travel around the bay. Thanks, Gigs

Yes Quads are out in most areas. It’s a big area and you still need to check ice the farther you get out to current areas. BATMAN

How far out does everyone go at pt Anne? Thinking of going in the next couple weeks, and I’m a walker with way to much gear. Just not sure if it’s worth the 2 hour drive or not.

Hey Dan,

We were out there for the weekend. all day Saturday (morning and night bite) and Sunday morning. Fished bigisland out of Wagers. 2 man limit came home but i agree on the action. They were grumpy on saturday, lots of lookers but tough to get them to bit. Same with Sunday morning, lots of lookers but tough to hook. Overall was a pretty good weekend. Conditions were good (we had our sleds) ice roughly 10 - 14 inches pending.
