Bay street Bridge in Belleville

Good day fellow fisherman and fisherwomen
Question about fishing under the bridge from zwick Island
Is there safe fishing under the bridge and is there anything I should know about?? New to the belleville area....thank you in advance for info.

The bay has a current that primarily moves from from west to east. The openings under the bridge on the north side and west side act like a funnel making the ice very unsafe. If you are going to venture there make sure you have a spud to check the ice thickness.

My advice would be to stay away. I'm guessing you mean ice fishing, but even if your casting open water there...don't. too dangerous. And too many other good places to go.
