I watched some of the CFT in Kingston last weekend. Wow, how I'd like to have that job. :D

The CFT have many tournaments thruout the season. One of these are on the Quinte and a Pro / Am event. This year, the cost was $300 for an amateur and your hooked up with a pro for the tournament in their boat.

My dream has always been to fish, just for one day even, in a bass boat and fly around the lake doing 60+ mph. So, I'm thinking that maybe this would be the way to go for me. The knowledge you could gain in just 1 day, let alone 3 would be amazing.

Has anyone ever done this or know of people that have?

Cheers.

That's why they wen't to a PRO/Am event. Try It !!!!
I think you will find it to be a great experience. 300.00 to fish with a pro on a bass boat for 3 days?? Cheap.! Experience: great. :D :D

Thanks Iceman.

I've looked further into it. They also request assistance with fuel costs, lunch and other incidentals when possible.

I agree.....it's a small price to pay such knowledge and fun.

They haven't posted next years tournament dates....but when they do, I'm all over it.

Cheers

I was one of the AM in 3 of the 4 CFT Pro/Am Super Series. You'll be able to learn years worth of fishing knowledge in those events. Being able to meet all the Pros, fish with them, learn how to use trolling motors, or even drive a bass boat (some Pros might let you do so) are priceless. Usually Pros will ask you anywhere from $0 - $25 for gas, and if you don't know how to use trolling motor and or toll the boat in and out of the water, there are always people willing to help. All you need to do is sit tight and have fun. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask me :)

Steelcat.....thanks for the posting.

I will for sure pm you any questions I have. I'm psyched about doing this and to me, this would be a better adventure than going south this winter. :D

Cheers
