After a few successful lake trout trips I decided to head to Hay Bay this morning, solo mission. I only get out on the bay a couple times a year because I keep my boat on an inland lake. I definitely chose the right day! Launched from the church and the bite was on early. 3 minutes with line in the water before the first 20" fish was in the boat. It didn't stop for at least 90 minutes. 20+ walleye and at least 8 of them over 20 inches. One came in at 6.5 lbs and the biggest was 8 lbs 7 oz (30 inches). All fish were released.
Everything caught between 15 and 30 feet, with most coming from 20-30. All on bottom bouncer. Green/chartreuse blade was the flavour of choice.

Good luck out there. Hope to be back soon.

Mac
